Ensueños 2026 - An Encuentro Milonguero in the city of Porto.

"Tango, an Argentinian and Uruguayan tradition now widespread throughout the world, was developed by the lower social classes of Buenos Aires and Montevideo, in the Rio de la Plata basin. From the intermingling of the cultures of European immigrants, descendants of African slaves, and the natives of the region, known as criollos, a great variety of customs, beliefs, and rituals were amalgamated and transformed into a distinct cultural identity. As one of the most recognizable results of this emerging identity, the music, dance, and poetry of Tango embody and promote cultural diversity and dialogue." (translated from the UNESCO website).

We intend "Ensueños 2026" to be an Encuentro Milonguero, where close embrace is shared, defined dance lines are maintained, and special priority is given to the unforgettable meeting of wills, through "miradas"  and "cabeceos".
We invite Milongueros to participate in "Ensueños 2026" - with your participation, we will make a 3-days gathering in a space for tranquil miradas and cabeceos, and unforgettable close embraces... We await you!
